Slackjaw Presents Sulka Mod and Hound

Slackjaw are a glasgow based gig organiser/music label.
We invite you for another round of live music and good family friendly fun with local talents; Sulka, MOD and Hound

Glasgow-based songwriter and recording artist who has been releasing music since 2017.
His project is inspired by alternative folk/rock fgures such as Sparklehorse, Elliott Smith and Badly
Drawn Boy, whose introspective music is mostly self recorded and has a wide stylistic and
emotional range. Sulka’s lyrics blend genuine personal sentiments with fctional characters and
scenarios and often serve an autobiographical purpose. Live appearances have included opening
slots for local acts PAWS and Meursault as well as touring US bands like Current Joys and Adult
Mom. Two full length albums and two EPs are currently available on Spotify and Bandcamp. A third
full length album is now being recorded and is set for release in 2020.

Having only recently joined the local scene, mod hope to bring something new to the table. Their sound can be described as a wall of fuzz drawing inspiration from bands like Failure, Twelve Point Buck, Baked and My Bloody Valentine

New band on the scene in Glasgow. Twangy slacker vibes with undeniable 90s pop tendencies. FFO strokes, pavement, alanis morissette.
